Register for SICB+
SICB+ is an opportunity to share your presentation virtually with other SICB attendees after the in-person meeting has concluded. Although focused on virtual, asynchronous presentations, SICB+ will also provide access to stream a few live events—plenaries, the Society-wide member meeting and the Society-wide Symposia —during the week of the in-person conference.
SICB+ will take place from 16 January through 17 March 2023. Presenters need to upload their presentations by January 13, the site will open on January 16 and Preesentations remain accessible until March 17th
In 2022, SICB experimented with extended virtual content, SICB+, following the in-person meeting in Phoenix, AZ. Based on the feedback we received, this trial was well-liked by many SICB members and meeting participants. Over 700 presentations were uploaded into the 2022 platform! This virtual content was accessed in-person meeting attendees, by lab groups and by college and high school classrooms. SICB+ helped bring new attention to the exciting science being presented by SICB members.
Registration rates do NOT include SICB membership. Reduced registration rates are available to people who have paid membership through 3/31/2023. Make sure to LOG IN (top right corner of page) or JOIN SICB/RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP to access the lowest registration rates.
After joining or renewing your membership, please be sure to log out, close your browser and log back in so that the system can refresh to reflect the renewal.
SICB members who may fall between registration/membership categories, such as recent graduates presenting their work accomplished as a student, may still be eligible for a student or other reduced registration rate. SICB Members from a Developing Country can also receive discounted rates. The list of countries can be viewed at http://bit.ly/2v4Oawy You must live & work in a country on this list in order to qualify for these rates.
SICB+ is included with a paid registration for the in-person meeting. If you have already registered for the in-person meeting in Austin, do not register again.
